Mother's day prayer 2021

It occurs to me today that whether I feel desperate for God's presence and help or not I truly am in constant need of him, in the same way that I am always and forever dependant on air. This reality should be at the center of my mind daily.

Father, Creator, Life sustainer, Redeemer of my soul, I need you like I need nothing and no one else; for you hold more than just the life of this body in your hands but most importantly my soul; loving, preserving, protecting, guiding, giving...

Thank you for your fierce love, for allowing me to taste (as a mother) a fraction of that love. It shadows in comparison I am sure but I can't imagine a more intense love. My prayer is that my love for my own children spills freely on all people and demonstrates clearly the intensity and power of your love for all humanity.
